Morikawa golfer career and news
Morikawa made his career debut at the RBC Canadian Open 2019, where he tied for 14th place. He tied for 2nd at the 3M Open on 7 July 2019.
Morikawa tied for the lead of the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge after 72 holes, on June 14, 2020.
He beat Justin Thomas in a playoff to victory his 2nd PGA Tour at the Workday Charity Open, on July 12, 2020.
Morikawa won the 2020 PGA Championship to victory a major in only his 2nd championship start, on 9 August 2020.
From February 20 to July 20 all sports were off for the COVID-19 pandemic but, then started all sports. He was selected to play in the Ryder Cup 2021 with the United States team. During July, Morikawa achieved a tie for first place at the Rocket Mortgage Classic after completing 72 holes with an impressive score of 8-under 64, without any bogeys. Unfortunately, he was defeated by Rickie Fowler who made a birdie on the first playoff hole. As a result, Morikawa and Adam Hadwin finished in a tied-second position.
