Murray’s tennis team career and more

He began the 2012 season by playing in the Brisbane International 2012. Murray made it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2012, where he was defeated by Djokovic in a four-hour-and 50-minute.

After, he retired from his hip injury during the 2nd round match against Marcel Granollers at the Rome Masters on his 26th birthday.

He decided that surgery was the best system to sort the problem out for the long term before being forced to withdraw from the French Open in May. The injury flared up during the US Open and after during the Davis World Cup group.

Tennis player Murray lost his opening robin match to Kei Nishikori at the ATP World Tour finals in 2015, but, won his 2nd match against Milos Raonic.

At Wimbledon 2021, he lost to Denis Shapovalov, but later, defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili and qualifier Oscar Otte in the third round. , After, he won as a wildcard against Richard Gasquet before losing to Hubert Hurkacz in the second round, at the Western & Southern Open 2021.

Murray won his opening three matches in straight sets before defeating 11th seed Grigor Dimitrov to reach the quarter-final match. Then he reached the semi-finals of the Indian Wells 2015, overtaking Tim Henman’s record of 496 wins.

He defeated Rafael Nadal in straight sets for his Madrid first title on clay in the final match. Murray returned to play Queens Club for Great Britain against France in their Davis Cup quarter-final tie after Wimbledon.
