Dimitrov’s tennis career and award
Dimitrov was seeded tenth; he overcame in the first round Dustin Brown in just 69 minutes at the Australian Open 2015. He decided not to defend his title in Bucharest and he participated in the first edition of the Istanbul occasion.
After, he lost the match to in-form and eventual champion Dominic Thiem in the quarterfinals in Acapulco in 2016. Dimitrov had a bye into the 2nd round of the Miami Open 2016. And he overcame the world no.2 Andy Murray, and coming back from a set down, then lost to Gael Monfils in the same year 2016.
