Travis Shaw MLB career and news
In 2012, he ended the year at Low-Class A Greenville Drive, batting .333 in two sports before gaining promotion to the High-Class Salem Red Sox.
Shaw was promoted to the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs early in August but was tested in the upper Eastern League, where he did with a .227 average, three home runs, and 12 RBI in 31 sports.
He scuffled while correcting to Double-A, hitting a paltry .221 in 127 sports with Portland, in 2013.
From 2013, he scored a second-best 78 runs behind Mookie Betts (87) and was 2nd in extra-base hits (52) to Asuaje (65), while progressing his approach.
Shaw was called up from Triple-A Pawtucket and logged his 1st MLB major league hit, a 2nd inning single against the Miami Marlins on 7 July 2015.
The Red Sox traded Shaw, Josh Pennington, and Mauricio Dubón to the Milwaukee Brewers for Tyler Thornburg, on 6 December 2016.
Shaw was non-tendered and became a free agent, On 2 December 2019. On 30 December 2019, he signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays team.
