Thiago Seyboth Wild tennis career and news
On 3 November 2019, he won his first Challenger tour at Guayaquil defeating Bolivian Hugo Dellen.
At just 19 years old on 1 March 2020, he won his first ATP Tour in Santiago defeating Norwegian Casper Ruud. Wild became the 1st player on the ATP Tour born in the year 2000 to victory a non-exhibition ATP tour.
He faced world number 32 Borna Ćorić in the next round, losing in the 3rd set tiebreak. Wild entered the world top 200 for the 1st time on February-24, moving to 182nd position in the Top-level ranking.
In the final, he defeated Norwegian Casper Ruud, in three sets, becoming champion at 19 years old, surpassing Kuerten, who won his 1st ATP tour when at the age of 20.
In March, Seyboth Wild became the 1st tennis player to announce a diagnosis of COVID-19, in March 2020.
