Clara Tauson’s tennis career and News
On 20 April 2017, she made her debut for the Denmark Fed Cup at a group B match against Egypt. She played her first Australian Open 2019 Grand Slam here she was top-sowed in girls’ singles and won this title as the first Danish girl.
She helped to bring Denmark back to Europe or Africa Group in February in Fed Cup 2020. Due to the COVID-19 disease, her career was put on hold until August 2020.
After, she went up against world No. 25, and recent US Open 2020 semifinalist, Jennifer Brady from the United States, in her Grand Slam first draw match.

And then, she made her WTA 1000 main draw career in the Qatar Total Open 2022, where she defeated Olympic winner Belinda Bencic before losing to third seed Paula Badosa in straight sets, in February 2022.
She joined to play the US Open 2022 first round against Garbine Muguruza on 31st August 2022.
She beat a fellow qualifier Viktorija Golubic in the final, whom she defeated at the Fujairah International Women’s Tennis Open 2020 in January. Tauson entered the top 100, being the 2nd youngest on the tour, after American player Coco Gauff.
