Gennady Golovkin’s boxing career
It was proclaimed that Golovkin would defend his career against European champion and The Ring’s #10 valued middleweight Grzegorz Proksa on 20 July 2012.
On 31 January 2013, a deal was closed for Golovkin to defend his world fight against former WBA champion Nobuhiro Ishida (24-8-2, 9 KO) in Monte Carlo.
Sports Illustrated proclaimed that he would next defend with world titles against The Ring’s #9-rated middleweight Curtis Stevens (25-3, 18 KO) on 18 August 2013.
After, his tenth title defense took place in Monte Carlo against former fighter Osumanu Adama on 1 February 2014.
