Bouchard beat Richel Hogenkamp in the opening round but, lost to Arantxa Parra Santonja in the 2nd round.
She won her third-round clash against the former champion of the US Open Samantha Stosur later the Australian retired. And she progressed to the 2nd round over Kateryna Bondarenko in two tie-breaks at the Western and Southern Open in 2015. At the Malaysian Open 2016, she advanced to her 2nd final of the season where she was defeated by Elina Svitolina in three sets. At the Australian Open, she defeated Peng Shuai and Louisa Chirico in her first two matches, but she lost to CoCo Vandeweghe in three groups in the 3rd round.
She won her first two rounds against Maddison Inglis and You Xiaodi before slumping to disappointing straight sets in the final qualifying match against Martina Trevisan.
From February-20 to July 20 all tennis and other sports were off for the COVID-19 pandemic but, then started tennis successfully. She received a wildcard for the Abierto Zapopan Open 2021 and defeated Caroline Dolehide in three sets before recording straight-set wins over Kaja Juvan, Caty McNally, and qualifier Elisabetta Cocciaretto to reach her 2nd WTA final tournament in 2021.
