In 2013, Genge joined Bristol at the age of eighteen. He made his first club debut on 8 December 2013 against the Scottish side Gala.
Genge was named in Leicester on 12 March 2016 replacing Marcos Ayerza and his debut as Leicester player against Bath at the Rec on 7 May 2016.
Genge started playing as a regular Leicester player in the season of 2016-2017 and played 31 matches in the season.
