His tennis team record and the latest news
He won his 1st professional career doubles at the ITF Futures in Pensacola in November 2015. He reached the semifinals of the Challenger Banque Nationale de Drummondville, before trailing Daniel Evans in three sets.
Shapovalov was selected to play for the Davis Cup in the world 1st round against Great Britain and lost his opener to Dan Evans. He accidentally hit the chair umpire, Arnaud Gabas, in the deciding rubber against Kyle Edmund.
He defeated Taro Daniel and Pablo Andujar before being stopped in four sets by 6-time and champion Novak Djokovic in the first singles match.
Vasek Pospisil and Shapovalov teamed up to single-handedly take Canada to its first-ever Davis Cup final in Davis Cup finals 2019.
From February 20 to July 20 all sports were off for the Covid-19 pandemic, then started tennis and other sports. Shapovalov is set to play the US Open 2021 as the 7th seed and will play Federico Delbonis in his 1st round. He will join to play the Australian Open 2022 men’s singles on 17th November 2022.
