Giorgi reached her first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Wimbledon Championships 2018, six years after her Wimbledon breakout. She reached her first WTA final at the Katowice Open in 2014 and then won her first title at the Topshelf Open in 2015
Her most effective wins have come at the US Open 2013, BNP Paribas Open 2014, and Aegon International 2014, by defeating former world No.1 players Maria Sharapova, Caroline Wozniacki, and Victoria Azarenka.
