Buxton signed a contract with the Twins, that included a $6 million signing bonus, on 12 June, 2012.
He won both the Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year Award and Topps Minor League Player of the Year Award winner.
Buxton started as the Twins’ starting center fielder the 2016 season. He .156 batted in 17 games, while striking out in 53% of his at bats.
