Harper was announced by the Nationals, On 26 August 2010. He batted .343 and slugged .729. Harper and the Scottsdale Scorpions won the 2010 AFL Championship, on 20 November.
On 14 May 2012, he was 19 when he hit his 1st career Major Group home run, linking off of San Diego Padres pitcher Tim Stauffer.
