Summer Universiade 2019

2019 is the year of 60^th birthday of the Summer Universiade. The Italian city Napoli (South to Rome) is hosting the 30^th edition of the Summer Universiade. Napoli and Campania Region are complimented extensively for their sports tradition since age.  Centro Storico (the historic center of Napoli) & Amalfi Coast are ready to provide the major support to the participants. Definitely the players are going to enjoy Gulf of Napoli beachfront, the island of Capri & the umbra of Mount Vesuvius.

When is the Summer Universiade 2019?

With the maxim ‘To Be Unique’, the Summer Universiade will be taking place from 2^nd July to 14^th July. These 12 days are arranged with 18 varieties of sport in different category. The solemn opening ceremony would take place on 3^rd July at Stadio San Paolo stadium. A total of 222 events of contest would take place. More than 12,000 participating athletes of around 170 countries are going take part in the competition. The closing ceremony will take place on 14^th July at Piazza del Plebiscito square in central Napoli.

15 sports are classified as compulsory sport in Summer Universiade 2019. They are,
