Tampa Bay Lightning and Contract
Stamkos started a three-year contract with the lightning on 29 July 2008. On 17 February 2009, his record the first NHL hat-trick career after 54 games. He spent the summer training extensively with former NHL player Gary Roberts prior to the 2009-10 seasons. He scored 19 goals in his first 19 games, start to the 2010-11 season.
