He appeared All-Star Futures Game and was named the Most Valuable Player of the contest, in 2012.
The deal was almost canceled, as the Tigers’ email to the office of the Commissioner of Baseball was not established until three minutes later the midnight deadline a text message about the deal on 15 August 2010.
