Mike Soroka’s MLB career and news
Soroka began with the Gwinnett Stripers of the Class AAA Global League, in the 2018 season. ` the Braves promoted Soroka to the major leagues, on 1 May 2018.
On 12 May, he started feeling irritation in his right shoulder later and was placed on the disabled list soon.
Soroka listed 5 starts, a 2–1 record, a 3.51 ERA, and 21 strikeouts in 252⁄3 innings pitched, with the 2018 Braves. In fact, he was runner-up in the NL Rookie of the Year elective to Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, and Soroka placed 6th in NL Cy Young Voting.
He opened the reduced season, pitching 6 scoreless battings against the New York Mets, on 24 July 2020.
