Anderson’s tennis career and the latest news
He needed quality to create the main draw in both doubles and singles in September 2007 in New Orleans. And he beat Novak Djokovic for his first victory against a top-10 player in the 2nd round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Florida.
Anderson reached a career-best 3rd round in 2012, where he was failed by seventh seed Tomas Berdych in five sets at the French Open 2012. He made it to the 3rd round of the US Open 2013, where he lost to eventual champion Marin Čilić. After, he lost in the 1st round against 13th seed Gael Monfils in the Madrid Open 2016.
Again, he made it to the 2nd round, where he was failed by Kei Nishikori in the Miami Open 2017.
All sports were off for the Covid-19 pandemic from February 20 to July 20 but then started tennis and other sports successfully.
Anderson rebounded from his knee surgery and won his 7th ATP tour at the Fame Tennis Championships by defeating Jenson Brooksby7–6, 6–4 in 2021. The South African team was selected to play Australian Open 2022 which will be held on 17th January 2022.
