Juanfran club and international career
On 24 January 2004, he had his first main-team squad opportunity, playing 15 minutes in a 2-1 home victory against Villarreal CF. His Real Madrid team career started from 2004 to 2006.
Then, he joined the Osasuna team after a deal that allowed him to get the player without a transfer fee having to pay and pre-set price of 10 million EUR. He was again an everpresent fixture in Osasuna’s lineups in 2008-09.
Juan started for Atletico Madrid in June 2015 for a transfer fee of 4 million EUR on 11 January 2011. On 21 May 2011, he scored his first goal for Atletico in a 4-3 victory at RCD Mallorca.
