John Paintsil is an international Ghanaian professional footballer. He was born on 15 June 1981 and his birth place Berekum, Brong-Ahafo, Ghana. West Ham United

Leicester City
Paintsil joined the Leicester City on a free transfer on 21 July 2011. Hapoel Tel Aviv club Paintsil returned to Israel by signing at Hapoel Tel Aviv for one year, on 12 August 2012.

He was a member of Ghana U-21 team who was runner-up in the World Youth Championship FIFA in 2001 and he has played for the senior team in the African Cup of Nations. Paintsil was also a member of the Ghana Olympics football team 2004 who exited in the 1st round in Greece. Paintsil celebrated by an Israeli flag, also he waved as the final whistle blew on 17 June 2006. He was selected and a member of the Ghanaian World Cup 2010 that reached the quarter-finals in South Africa.
