He announced his new partnership with Marcelo Melo in 2009 and won his 2nd ATP tour doubles in Stockholm. He defeated the brothers Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan and reached the quarterfinals in Roland Garros.
After, he partnered with Eric Butorac and went to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open 2012. They won the 6th ATP doubles in the ATP tour Brazil 250.
