On 19 December 2015 on Fox 17 at UFC he made his UFC career debut against newcomer Luis Henrique. Then he won the fight in the 2nd round. At the UFC Fight Night 86, he next faced UFC newcomer Curtis Blaydes on 10 April 2016 and won the game.
On 20 January 2018, Ngannou fought Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight title at UFC 220. He lost the fight. At UFC 226, he faced Derrick Lewis on 7 June 2018 but, he lost the fight.
