David instead spent his time playing with friends on gravel pitches in the parks of Accra and there he was spotted from the Ghana-based Right to Dream Academy where he would spend 4 years. Accam received a three-year scholarship to study at in England at Hartpury College in 2008.
Then, he played for the English club Evesham United during the 2010-11 seasons when also featuring in the gravity team at Forest Green Rovers team. Subsequently, he was one of eight winners who got to spend the 2011-12 season with Nike Football Academy team.
International career
Footballer Accam received his first call up to the Ghana National football team for a FIFA World Cup 2014 qualification against Sudan, in which he was an unused substitute on 24 March 2013. Anyway, Accam was left out of the World Cup football squad on 2 June 2013. He was named in a provisional 26 man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2014 by the Ghana James Kwesi Appiah manager. Whatever, he was selected as a part of the Ghana’s preliminary squad for the Africa Cup of Nations 2015.
