He started his first Grand Slam appearance main draw at the Wimbledon Championships 2010 where he lost to Romanian player Victor Hanescu.

He defeated Fernando Verdasco in the second round of the US Open 2014 but lost to Andy Murray. At the Australian Open 2015, he got into the 2nd round but failed to World No.1 Novak Djokovic.

In 2016, Kuznetsov beat Adrian Mannarino in the 3rd round 2–6, 7–5, 6–0. In the fourth round of the Miami Open 2016, he lost to Nick Kyrgios 6–7, 3–6.

He made his maiden ATP tour semifinal arrival in Sydney, where he fell to first-time semifinalist Dan Evans in another three-setter.

After, he advanced to his 2nd ATP tour semifinal at the Geneva Open 2017, where he fell to defending champion Stan Wawrinka.

Kuznetsov’s only tournament was when he participated in the Koblenz Challenger, of 2018 taking residence in January 2018. He lost his 1st round match against Ilya Ivashka.

After then, he received a protected ranking and won his first round against Sam Querrey but lost in the next round to Karen Khachanov at the US Open 2020.

In close to six years, he won his first challenger tour at the President’s Cup II 2021, defeating Jason Kubler.
