Sandgren reached five Challenger contests, vectoring two of them in Tempe and Savannah in 2017.
He recorded his 1st two ATP World Tour victories at the Washington Open 2017 in early August, counting a win over No. 20 Nick Kyrgios. At the U.S. Open in 2017, he lost in the 1st round to No. 7 Marin Cilic.
