He was the third amateur to victory on the PGA Tour, succeeding Russell Henley in 2011 and Daniel Summerhays in 2007.
English earned his PGA Tour for 2012 by concluding in a tie for 13th at the PGA Tour 2012 Qualifying Event in December 2012.
He secured his 1st win in 2013, at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in June in Memphis. English held the co-lead at the 54-hole stage in February 2015 of the Farmers Insurance Open 2015, alongside J. B. Holmes.
