Takumi Minamino Club, Goal, and International career
Minamino established two assists in the following two league games before scoring his first goal of the season in a 2–1 victory against Oita Trinita in the Emperor’s Cup, and he continued to shine throughout March.

International and FIFA 22 career
On 13 October 2015, Minamino made his Japan national team debut in a 1-1 draw against Iran, coming on as a substitute in the 87th minute.
On September 11, 2018, he scored his first goal for Japan in a 3–0 victory against Costa Rica.
Minamino was named one of the 23 members of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup squad by Japan in December 2018.
Minamino was selected for the 2016 Summer Olympics Japan U-23 national team in August 2016.
