He signed with the team receiving a reported signing bonus of $4 million, on 15 August 2007.
Moustakas was .352 hitting with homers 21 and 76 runs batted in AA Northwest Arkansas, as of 13 July 2010.
He was named the 2010 Texas League Player of the Year and on the same night, he set an Omaha Royals record with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs in one sport on 30 August 2010.
