He received a wildcard into the passing tournament of the Australian Open 2010 but fell in the 1st round to Somdev Devvarman 2–6, 1–6.

In the 2nd round of Brisbane Duckworth fell to world no. 12 Gilles Simon on Pat Rafter Arena 3–6, 5–7.
