Anthony Joshua’s boxing career and news
It was proclaimed that Joshua would fight undefeated Scottish boxer Gary Cornish on 16 July 2015 for the vacant Commonwealth heavyweight label at The O2 Arena, London, on 12 September.
He met White in a grudge game for the vacant British heavyweight name while also defending his Commonwealth heavyweight on 12 December 2015 for the first time.
It was proclaimed that Joshua would face IBF heavyweight winner Charles Martin on 9 April 2016 at the O2 Arena in February 2016. The WBA decided to sanction an amalgamation bout between Joshua and Klitschko on 2 November 2016 for the vacant WBA (Super), earlier held by Tyson Fury.
The IBF granted Joshua to rematch Klitschko instead of aggressive mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on 7 June 2017. It was proclaimed that Joshua and Pulev would fight at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 28 August 2017.
With Joshua’s Wembley date on hold, Hearn stated that Dillian Whyte was the leader to challenge Joshua on 29 December 2018.
