He lost to fourth seed Kevin Anderson for the first time at a Masters 1000 level at the Canadian Open 2018. After reaching her first quarterfinal at the Andalucia Open 2021, Ivashka defeated two Spaniards en route Alejandro Fokina and Pedro Martinez.
