Auston Meadows MLB career and news
He was considered one of the top prospects qualified for the Major League Baseball 2013 draft.
In 2013, Meadows played for the Gulf Coast Pirates the Jamestown Jammers of the Class A-Short Season of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League at New York–Penn League.
He suffered a broken orbital bone in his right eye during spiral training in 2016. Meadows was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays, along with Tyler Glasnow, on 31 July 31, 2018.
Meadows was placed on the injured list afterward he tested positive for COVID-19, which caused him to miss the beginning, on 16 July 2020.
