Wimbledon 2019 results: Djokovic Wins his 5th Grand Slam Tennis. Novak Djokovic closed the door back to Federer at Wimbledon with a symptomatic victory that confirms him again as the great dominator of world tennis and leaves the Swiss of almost 38 years with the feeling that perhaps he will not be able to increase his account of titles of Grand Slam, who is in 20.

In a beautiful and vibrant final, the Serbian (32) repeated title and now adds 16, four less than his rival and two below Nadal (18): 6-7 (5), 6 -1, 6-7 (4), 6-4 and 13-12 (3) in four hours and 55 minutes.

The fact is that he has won four of the last majors: Wimbledon 2018 and 2019, US Open 2018 and Australia 2019. Earning the fifth title, Serb equalized Bjoern Borg’s record.

Disastrous set of Djokovic

In it, the Swiss played surprisingly poor, made a few mistakes and lost 4: 7.

The fourth set had a very surprising course. Federer first broke Djokovic and twice. Then he served at 5: 2 to finish the party. For the first time, however, it was possible to break the rival in today’s final. Djoković also won his own service and it got 4: 5. The Swiss, who turns 38 on August 8, did not waste a second chance and won the 6: 4 set.

Djoković proved to be stronger

The fifth set had an unusual course. At 3: 2 for Djokovic, Federer easily handed over the game at his own site. Serbs have gained a break that immediately lost. The Swiss quickly won their application and it got after 4. In the next minutes, the gentlemen maintained their service until 7: 7.

Then Federer broke Djokovic and was about to win the match. However, he did not use the chance, although he had two match balls. He lost the pass and it was 8: 8. Both of the rest of their forces maintained their services and brought them at 12:12 to the historic first tie-break in the Wimbledon final. In it, Djoković, who won 7: 3, turned out to be better.
