Takehiro Tomiyasu Club, Goal and international career
Tomiyasu was on the substitute bench for the first half of the J League season in 2016. In a 0-0 tie with Vegalta Sendai in the J League Cup on April 20, 2016, Tomiyasu made his season debut as a starter in defensive midfield.

In a 3–2 victory against Honduras U-20 in a friendly encounter, he made his Japan U20 debut by starting the whole game.
