Sara had a career-high junior and won three singles ranking of No. 33 and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit in Junior.

She got a wildcard at Madrid Open in 2014 but lost to Caroline Garcia in 1st round of qualification 2014.

Sara was successful on her first attempt to play in the main draw at WTA Tour 2015, passing qualification at Rio Open 2015, and there she lost in the 1st round to Paula Ormaechea. She entered the top 200 for the 1st time, receiving to a rank of 198, on 23 March 2015.
