Boston Bruins and contract
The Boston Globe reported Bergeron had been sent on a vacation by then Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli and that he would likely sit out for the remainder on 19 January 2008.

Baston scored his first goal since his concussion after the 2008-09 seasons on 23 October 2008. On 11 January 2011, he scored his first career NHL hat-trick in a Bruins win over the Ottawa Senators.
