Michael Mmoh Tennis Career and news
After winning his fourth Futures title, Mmoh received a wildcard entry into the Miami Masters tournament. However, he was defeated by Alexander Zverev, who is currently the top-ranked 18-year-old tennis player in the world, despite putting up a good fight and losing in two tiebreaks.
By securing his first-ever Challenger title at Knoxville, he emerged victorious in the 2017 Australian Open Wild Card Challenge and made it to the Top 200 in November 2016.
At the beginning of the 2018 season, Mmoh achieved his initial ATP-level match victories by conquering Federico Delbonis in the first round of the Brisbane International tournament and world-ranked No.33 player Mischa Zverev to reach the quarterfinals. However, he was defeated by Alex de Minaur in that round.
Having qualified as a lucky loser, he made his debut at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships main draw. Subsequently, on 1st October 2018, he ascended to World No. 97, breaking into the top 100 for the first time.
