Saville’s Tennis Career and News

The duo won the French Open 2012 junior championship with a victory over Montserrat González and Beatriz Haddad Maia, continuing their partnership.

Saville made her main draw debut at the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships in June 2012, defeating higher-ranked players Anastasia Rodionova and Yuliya Beygelzimer to advance to the first round of a WTA Tour event for the first time.

She upset 24th seed Eugenie Bouchard in the first round after defeating Stephanie Vogt. For the first time in her career, she defeated Zhou Yimiao in the final round of qualifying to earn a spot in the main draw of a Grand Slam event. In 2013, he was selected in the first round.

Saville entered the 2015 Australian Open internal wildcard playoff in December. She advanced to the main draw of the 2015 first major by defeating second seed Olivia Rogowska in the semifinals, then sweeping Arina Rodionova in straight sets to secure her spot.

Saville began his 2015 season at Brisbane International. She was eliminated in the second round by third seed Angelique Kerber after qualifying.

In the fourth round, she was defeated by Karolína Plíšková after defeating Kurumi Nara in her previous match. After that, Saville competed as the third seed at the $100,000 tournament in Cagnes-sur-Mer. In the Miami Open 2015, she was defeated in the quarterfinals by Pauline Parmentier.

She started her season with Nick Kyrgios in the Australia Green team at the 2016 Hopman Cup. Her lone singles victory came against Sabine Lisicki in the tournament’s round-robin stage. But she and Kyrgios were undefeated in the mixed-doubles stage of each tie.

Saville defeated Dominika Cibulková in three sets to win her first WTA Tour championship at the Connecticut Open in August 2017.

She defeated 24th seed Dayana Yastremska in the first round of the French Open 2020, ending a seven-month winless streak. Saville was eliminated by Eugenie Bouchard in the second round.

She began the 2021 season by losing in the second round to fifth seed Serena Williams at the inaugural edition of the Yarra Valley Classic. She was knocked out in the second round of the Australian Open by top seed and compatriot Ashleigh Barty in 2021.

Before losing in the first round to Iga Świątek in 2022, Saville began her season at the Adelaide International 1, defeating Caty McNally and Katie Boulter in qualifying.

In the first round, she upset reigning US Open 2022 champion and top seed Emma Raducanu, and in the second round, she lost to eventual champion Sloane Stephens.

Saville reached the semifinals of the Washington Open in 2022, defeating world No. 7 Jessica Pegula along the way. She was then eliminated by Kaia Kanepi, who was seeded sixth.
