She competed on the European ITF Circuit, in 2016. Sharma reached her first WTA Tour final in April 2019, losing to Amanda Anisimova at the Copa Colsanitas 2019.
She reached the 2nd round of the Monterrey Open 2020 and the quarterfinal of the ITF event in Mexico before it was stopped due to the COVID-19 disease.
At the US Open 2020, she lost in the first round to 19th seed Dayana Yastremska in a 3rd set tie-breaker. After, she commenced in 2021, losing in the 1st round of the Gippsland Trophy 2021.
